[OOC] ABCs Meme

I finally finished this meme! :D
Accent (or other vocal quirks; who are they voiced by?): His voice has started to change but rarely cracks - think of it at the very top of Tetsuya Iwanaga’s range. Because I’m basing his canon off of the Viz translations of the manga (the only complete translations available to me), he often also stresses certain words for villainous emphasis.
Build (Fat, skinny, short, tall, muscular, etc): Definitely skinny - he hasn’t had the greatest diet lately and does some exercises every day before and after sleeping to try and build muscle tone/get in shape, but it’s not that noticeable yet.
Colors (Either their favourites, or the ones they seem to wear or are otherwise associated with): He’s worn a lot of very nondescript clothing and doesn’t think a lot about colors, but is drawn to things like dark purple and silver and gold - royalty colors. Also lilac but he doesn’t for the life of him know why.
Diet (and any allergies or religious / personal restrictions): Vegetarian by choice. He doesn’t like the texture of meat in his mouth (plus they didn’t have it much in the tombs). Alternates between thinking of food just as “body fuel” (and thus eating whatever) and splurging on ridiculous stuff he’s never tried before.
Education: Mostly just things he needed to know to be a Tombkeeper, including how to read hieratic text. Homeschooled, which goes without saying.
Family (Blood and otherwise): The standard canon deceased parents and well-meaning adopted older brother/biological sister. Hasn’t been at the DR long enough to form a surrogate family, and given his personality it doesn’t seem likely.
Goods (Important things they own, or their overall material wealth): The Millennium Rod, first and foremost. In addition to various cards/books he picked up when shopping with Shoko, he has two already-constructed decks and at some point he’ll likely either imagine himself a key or pick the lock on the box of cards he stole right before arriving in the DR. An attempt to get himself a motorcycle “that he can ride” gave him a motor scooter instead. He doesn’t want to like it because it’s not exactly what he’s always dreamed of, but...
Hobbies: REVEEENGE. Seriously, Brunch needs a hobby in the worst way, and if he’d grown up to live a normal life he’d probably have half a million. The closest thing he has is Duel Monsters, though I guess you could call “snooping around looking at everything” a hobby since he’s not juuuust doing it to see how he can use things - he’s honestly interested in pretty much everything. Has a particular interest in travel, vehicles, and gadgetry.
Ignorance (Things they are particularly ignorant of or bad at doing): Knowing his limits. He’ll start off being really careful but then he’ll get cocky/curious and push others too far. He’s also particularly horrible at relaxing and just letting himself act his age. As far as ignorance of the outside world is concerned, he may know more than a first-day-out-there Marik but he’s still never heard of many things. Because of his age he’s also from a time before stuff like DVDs and mp3 players so most technology is going to be beyond his knowledge.
Job (Past, current, future): Was supposed to be a tombkeeper but so much for that (though he still identifies as a member of the clan). Had just founded the Ghouls upon his arrival.
Knowledge (What they've learned or taught themselves or learned outside of a formal education): Rudimentary control of the Millennium Rod, how to lie (if he’s at the top of his game), how to steal, basic knowledge of the modern world, a little bit of psychology to understand how these brains he’s controlling work & how best to approach them.
Love interests (Past, current, future): None. I’m not averse to playing “Brunch gets a crush” but it’s not even on his radar right now. He also tends to view people as objects to manipulate, which would make developing Awkward Teenage Feelings all the more, well, awkward.
Music (What's on the character's ipod?): He doesn’t know any modern music, though if exposed I think he’d really respond well to it, especially rock and other “rebel” genres. The mun, however, is a horrible person and listens to Simple Plan when she needs to remember what being his age feels like.
Needs (Things they need to function normally): At least one person supporting him. Back home of course Rishid provides this, and though I haven’t gotten to write it into a tag yet, he’s convinced Rishid is both fine and looking for him, which is comforting. In the DR Iris, of all people, fits the bill so far - he teases and is teased by Iris all the time and they’re both clearly using each other, but just knowing there’s someone else he can rely on/order around to further his plan helps immensely.
Orientation (Sexual/romantic; where do they fall on the Kinsey scale?): He assumes he’s straight. I’m going to play him bi and see how things go from there in case aforementioned awkward teenage crushes ever manage to surface, though I suspect he prefers boys.
Phobias (And nightmares, traumas, etc): Oh god, this could take weeks. The dark, particularly being alone in the dark. Suffocation (stemming from how he sometimes feels in the dark). Being helpless. Being tricked/manipulated against his will or without his knowledge. Being alone, though he’s only willing to show true weakness when he’s alone since there’s no one here he trusts on a Rishid-level yet. People seeing his back. Isn’t outright afraid of knives but they make him antsy. Humiliation, a bit, though he’s working on stamping that one out. Failure. He has this fascination/repulsion dynamic with learning about doubles’ lives that as of when I’m filling this out is mostly repulsion, out of denial/fear.
Quarrels (Their rivals or things they struggle against): DIE PHARAOH DIE. Adult doubles. Also he spends quite a lot of time, if not quarreling with himself per se, at least disciplining himself - once his mind sees a perfectly logical course of action to take, it sets about attempting to dispose of any- and everything within him that stands in the way of following those actions because nothing is more valuable than achieving his goal.
Religion (or philosophy and superstition in general): Raised with the knowledge that at least three Egyptian Gods are real/with the understanding that the Pharaoh is like a God. Has no problems at all accepting that things like spirits and Duel Monsters really exist, though encountering them (especially the latter) is a little harrowing.
Scars (and other markings): Tombkeeper’s initiation scars on his back, markings below his eyes. Various usual cut/scrape/bruise marks from everyday living. Has a bad habit of gritting his teeth so he has a little scar from catching his lower lip between them once, though no one will really ever see that. If you look at his ears when the earrings aren’t in, the piercings are sloppy- he pierced his own ears, though it was hardly pleasant. I haven’t decided whether the arm sparklepire!Dusk bit is going to scar or not.
Talents: For his age and especially given the limits of his upbringing, Brunch is pretty damn smart. If he focuses properly he’s fairly talented at deductive reasoning. He’s also quite the little fighter - “surrender” is not in his vocabulary, though I’m not sure whether that can count as a “talent”. He’s working on developing charisma/matching his people skills to the person he’s talking with. Also his drive, though misguided, is admirable for its strength if nothing else.
Unconsciousness (The things even they don't realize they do): On the surface level, he chews ice cubes if he has an iced drink and will fiddle with just about anything if he’s sitting idle. Beyond that, he secretly admired his doubles for a while - they seemed sensible and confident and Cake in particular bullied him with perfect manipulative style he couldn’t help but hope to achieve one day. Has been less guarded with Iris over time as he starts feeling more comfortable in Iris’s presence.
Vices and Villainy: Brunch is forcing himself to grow up into a callous manipulator, and was pretty self-centered to begin with. This leads to various unpleasant behaviors, some of which come more naturally to him than others. Most of them all boil down to not wanting to see people as people, but rather as tools. He’s not above pettiness and, if it’s directed at the proper victim, rather enjoys cruelty. Sadism for sadism’s sake doesn’t do a thing for him, though - it has to have significance.
Weaknesses (Things they always give into, things that hurt them more than usual, or things that they are really bad at): Canon Marik is a coldly rational person. Brunch is....not quite there yet and wishes he were. If you impress him he’ll feel like he has something to “prove”. Doubting his resolve or questioning his goal will always get a rise out of him. He’s not good at permitting himself down-time - even when he indulges himself he rationalizes it by saying he’s doing this now so he can focus better later. Teenage yearnings for independence have also combined with resentment of his life thus far to make him particularly sensitive to being ordered around or played with.
XXX (Their overall 'rating' as a character, their level of sexual experience, or their predilections besides gender): In this regard at least Brunch is pure as the driven snow. It’s not that he thinks sex is dirty - he just has bigger fish to fry, and doesn’t usually connect well with others since he’s busy trying to use them.
Yearnings (Their goals, wishes, desires): For the Pharaoh to be dead so he feels free to do everything he’s always wanted to do - and he wants to do everything. Brunch in particular wants to travel all over the place and see/try as many new things as he can. He doesn’t fully realize it but he’s really longing to be released from responsibility and duty, though he also can’t imagine living without a specific reason for living.
Zoo (Their favourite creatures, any pets they have, any important creatures in their life or history): Brunch is a little apprehensive around animals since he doesn’t know much about them, but the variety that exists is certainly of interest (though he tends to be more interested in things humans do and make). He’s never had any pets or anything and has never really wanted to. BUT CATEM IS WONDERFUL. *___*
